Workshop for caregivers in Kentfield
KENTFIELD—Family Caregiver Alliance will present a six-week class on taking care of the caregiver. The class gives families and caregivers the tools to reduce stress, make difficult caregiving decisions and prevent burnout. If you’re caring for an older adult with a chronic condition (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke) you’ll benefit--whether you’re helping a parent, spouse, friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country.
This class will give you the tools to: take care of yourself; help reduce stress; communicate effectively with family members, your doctor, paid helpers; make tough decisions; reduce guilt, anger and depression; and set goals and solve problems.
