LEGISLATIVE HEARING ON CAREGIVING
An estimated 3.2 million caregivers in California devote 3.4 billion hours to caregiving activities every year, at a value of $30 billion annually.* The dedicated families who care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury and other disabling conditions are assisted by the statewide system of Caregiver Resource Centers.
A hearing on Tuesday, November 15 in the Capitol will focus on current and future needs as we look at the unique demographic trends that impact this important public health issue.
