Caring Counts! in Contra Costa County
Free conference for family caregivers

Caregivers from all parts of the Bay Area are invited to attend Caring Counts! in Contra Costa County—a free full-day conference for family caregivers of older relatives and friends scheduled for June 17, 2006.

Keynote speaker Pat Samples, M.A., M.F.A., author, speaker and educator, will help caregivers restore their peace of mind and be more productive in handling their daily responsibilities. Smaller workshop sessions will include topics such as “Understanding and Communicating with a Person with Dementia”, “When Is It Time to Move Your Loved One to a Care Facility?” and “Legal and Financial Planning for Eldercare.” The conference is sponsored by Family Caregiver Alliance.

Some sessions will have Spanish translation or be offered in Spanish. Lunch will be provided.
