Location: Timonium, MD How does it work? The goals of the Pythias A. Jones and Virginia I. Jones African American Community Forum are to inform the African American community about memory loss, community services and promising research. The program collaborates with other community partners such as Johns Hopkins Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Coppin State University, the Baltimore City Commission on Aging and others to disseminate information about Alzheimer's disease, available services and promising research. Why is it successful? In its fourth year, the Forum has reached more than 250 participants annually and has connected hundreds to essential information and support. In partnership with Johns Hopkins, a record number of African Americans are involved with Alzheimer's research. For more information: www.alz.org/maryland
