The Older Americans Act National Family Caregiver Support Program (Title III-E and Title VI-C): Compassion in Action (2004)

This report provides a broad overview of the NFCSP, including the findings from data collected by AoA on the amount of NFCSP services provided and the number of caregivers served (FY2002 data). The report also describes AoA's consumer outreach efforts, technical assistance provided to the Aging Network, examples of the projects funded by the National Innovation Grants program and the Activities of National Significance grants, information about the Native American Caregiver Support Program, and personal caregiving stories. The report also includes a two-page profile for each state, with information about the administrative structure of the NFCSP in the state, the amount of services delivered and number of caregivers served, public awareness efforts, whether the program includes consumer direction, and any existing standards for measuring caregivers' needs.
