HI - Extending Joint Legislative Committee on Aging in Place (2010)

Bill would extend the Joint Legislative Committee on Aging in Place (formerly Joint Legislative Committee on Family Caregiving) to June 30, 2012. The Committee would continue to explore aging in place issues related to family caregiving and work to complete the priorities that were originally set but have been slow in coming due to budget cuts, including expanding kupuna care to include overnight, weekend, and emergency respite, providing grants to caregivers and for home modification, and providing paid family leave for family caregivers.
