Healthy Families Act (2009)

Federal bill would require certain employers, including those with at least 15 employees, to provide a minimum of seven days paid sick leave annually for those who work at least 30 hours per week, with a lesser amount of paid sick days for those who work 20-30 hours a week. Workers would be allowed to take the leave to care for their own medical needs or to care for a sick relative.
