Long-Term Care: Options in an Era of Health Reform (2009)The paper argues that long-term care reform should be included in efforts to improve the U.S. health care system. Elements of the proposed reform agenda include educating the American people on long-term care, increasing federal funding for Administration on Aging and state long-term care initiatives, establishing a grant program to improve the direct care workforce and setting up a high level, bipartisan National Commission on Long-Term Care to recommend a strategy for reform.
