Alzheimer's Family Assistance Act (2007)Federal bill would provide an income tax credit, starting at $1000 in 2007 and increasing each year until it reaches $3000 in 2011, for family caregivers providing care to a relative with a chronic condition. It is intended to help offset caregiving expenses, including home health care, adult day services, respite care and prescription drugs.
