MO - Pilot Program Paying Family Caregivers (2009)

Bill would establish a pilot program to allow certain relative caregivers to provide personal care services, with compensation, for disabled adults who cannot direct their own care. The relative caregiver must complete any medical training necessary to meet the care recipient's needs and would have to approved by the care recipient's doctor. The program would be evaluated in 2013 for effectiveness as it relates to quality of care, participant satisfaction, and feasibility of continuing the program statewide.
