SC- Utility Alerts that Customer Has Special Needs (2011)

This bill would require utilities in South Carolina to annually mail out a "Special Needs Form" to customers. A customer could ask a licensed health care professional to sign the form testifying that the customer has special needs, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. This form would serve to inform the utility that termination of services would be dangerous to the health of the customer or a person living in the customer's home.
