A profile of frail older Americans and their caregivers (2006)

Using data from the 2002 Health and Retirement Study, this data-packed report provides information about adults 65 years and older who are not in nursing homes, including information about their health and disability status, their care needs and the type and amount of care they are receiving. It includes a chapter on the characteristics of caregivers, including their relationship to the care receiver, the amount of care they provide, and their demographics.
