FCA has issued three new reports on critical caregiving topics:
Insuring Your Future: What Caregivers Need to Know About Long-Term Care Insurance

The State of the Art: Caregiver Assessment in Practice Settings
Summarizes the history and background of caregiver assessment—the means by which basic caregiver characteristics such as demographics, health and more are catalogued—and explores existing assessment criteria and tools as well as neglected areas of assessment.
Selected Caregiver Assessment Measures: A Resource Inventory for Practitioners
A companion piece to the “Caregiver Assessment” monograph. Presents a select group of caregiver assessment measures chosen by practitioners who work with family and informal caregivers of older person and adults with disabilities. Produced in collaboration with The Margaret Blenkner Research Institute, Benjamin Rose.
The reports, prepared by FCA’s National Center on Caregiving, were funded by the Archstone Foundation. All are available by sending a check for $30 each to FCA Publications, 180 Montgomery St., Ste. 1100, San Francisco, CA 94104. For further information, contact Lynn Friss Feinberg, (415) 434-3388.
