New Fact Sheets Cover Wide Range of Caregiver Concerns

FCA’s already-considerable library of Fact Sheets is growing. Slated for completion by the end of the summer are 10 new Fact Sheets, as well as a number of Spanish and Chinese translations. Additionally, revisions of the Alzheimer’s disease and Early Stage Alzheimer’s disease Fact Sheets are now available.

Some of the difficult decisions and issues family caregivers face at the end of life are addressed in these new Fact Sheets: Holding on and Letting GoFeeding Tubes and Ventilators; and CPR and Do Not Resuscitate Orders.

Fact Sheet on Caregiving and Depression takes a look at caregiver health and how caregivers can advocate for themselves.

Members of the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender community can find insight into some of their unique caregiving issues in the Fact Sheets FAQ for LGBT Caregivers and Legal Issues for LGBT Caregivers.

Other topics include Holding a Family Meeting and A Guide to Relocating Your Parents.

Updated translations of existing FCA Fact Sheets as well as new Fact Sheets will be available in both Spanish and Chinese. They include:

As they are completed, FCA’s Fact Sheets will be posted and available free on FCA’s website, at www.caregiver.org.
