FCA's Board of Directors held its annual meeting in June, electing its new members and the slate of officers for the upcoming fiscal year. Christopher T. Lane, Senior Managing Director of Welling & Woodward of San Francisco continues as President. Molly Buckley, a retired Account Executive from Levi Strauss & Co. was elected to serve as Vice President; Kathryn Lee, an Educational Therapist with the San Mateo County Office of Education, Secondary Education Services for Special Needs Students, was elected Secretary, and Sue Wong, Director of Administration and Finance at On Lok, Inc. in San Francisco was chosen to serve as Interim Treasurer (photo not available).

Two new members were welcomed to the Board at this meeting. Shanna Cronan, R.N., an Account Executive at AccentCare, and Claude Everhart, CEO of the Everhart Company, a government and public relations consulting firm, were elected to serve three-year terms.

Continuing on the Board are Philip Alphonse, Jean Coleman, Kevin Koppes, William J. Lynch and Margaret Wallhagen. Susan K. Lang and Roberta L. Block were thanked for their leadership, dedication and enthusiasm over the past eight and six years, respectively, that they served as Board members. They leave the Board after serving the maximum two consecutive terms allowed.

FCA co-founder Suzanne Harris (r) presents the Jane S. Ophuls Leadership Award to Susan Lang, FCA past President and Board Member. Ms. Lang was recognized for her "leadership, inspiration and support" of FCA, as well as for her "tireless efforts and generous contributions towards improving the lives of caregivers and their loved ones."
