PREMIER WEBSITE ON FAMILY CAREGIVING
GETS A NEW LOOK
SAN FRANCISCO—September 23, 2003—The award-winning website of Family Caregiver Alliance and its National Center on Caregiving has gotten even better. Along with an updated look, the redesigned site, at www.caregiver.org, offers better navigation, expanded coverage of national public policy issues, the full text of new FCA publications, and more, making it one of the most comprehensive sources for caregiving information now available on the web.
More than 3000 pages of content are contained in seven major departments:
Offering a wealth of practical advice for families and friends caring for adults with disabling health conditions, the site also offers information on current practices, trends and policies in long-term caregiving.
FCA’s website was recently recognized as a “Best of the Web” by Forbes.com. The nonprofit Family Caregiver Alliance has been online since 1995—one of the earliest service providers to have a presence on the web. The retooling of the FCA site was made possible by a grant from the Archstone Foundation.
Founded in 1977, Family Caregiver Alliance operates programs at the national, state and local levels to sustain and support the important work of families providing care to loved ones affected by chronic, disabling health conditions. Offering information, education, consultation and support, Family Caregiver Alliance and the National Center on Caregiving work to advance the development of caregiver support programs in every state in the country.
