KY- Elder Abuse Forfeiture of Inheritance

This bill would add a civil remedy with treble damages for use against people convicted of exploitation of an adult who fail to return the victim's property within 30 days. It also would ban perpetrators of abuse from inheriting property from their victim of abuse. Any escheated property would be directed to a trust fund that could pay for programs combating elder and vulnerable adult abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.
