NY- Special Certification of Long-Term Care Facilities for Dementia (2011)

This bill requires that any facility that advertises, offers, markets, or promotes itself as providing Alzheimer's and dementia special care must disclose the form of care or treatment provided that distinguishes it as being especially applicable for people with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. There is a $500 penalty for violations. (Note: bill was pre-filed on 12/10/2010).
