There are 10 ARCCs located in university medical centers throughout California. In addition to conducting research, these centers help those with Alzheimer's disease and their families by providing:
- comprehensive assessment of individuals with memory problems
- family conference and treatment planning
- information and referrals to community health and social services
- support groups for caregivers
- training and education
