Hiring a Home Care Provider: a Guide for Family Caregivers

Taking Care of SoMEone Else

A workshop for those dedicated to the care of others—but who put their own health and social needs on the back burner.

One of the greatest challenges of being a family caregiver is maintaining one’s own physical and emotional health—all too often, caregivers neglect their health and well being. We cannot stop the impact of a chronic illness on a loved one. However, we, as caregivers, need to be responsible for our own self-care.

It Takes Two! A Refreshing Approach to Understanding and Coping with Dementia Behavior

This four week class offers new skills and tools for family caregivers who care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.

In It Takes Two, you will:

  • Learn more about your relative’s ability to understand and communicate.
  • Learn new skills to handle troubling behavior.
  • Feel more confident and positive about your caregiving role.

This four part class meets on four consecutive Thursdays starting October 29. You will need to be able to attend all four sessions (October 29, November 5, 12, and 19).
