Caring for COPD Caregivers
Respiratory Health Association, a lung health non-profit based in Chicago, is seeking the participation of caregivers of people living with COPD. Our project, Caring for COPD Caregivers aims to increase the quality of life for caregivers by reducing the burden that accompanies informal caregiving for people living with COPD.
Project participants will receive a free copy of the COPD Caregiver’s Toolkit, a comprehensive resource designed to provide guidance on a variety of issues you may face during the caregiving experience. The Toolkit would be yours to keep after the project has ended. We ask that you use it for one year and give us an update every few months on how you have used it, which parts have been most helpful, and if it has helped you in your role as a COPD caregiver. Each participant will also take a brief survey at the beginning and end of the project about your role, feelings, and experiences as a caregiver.
Participation is voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential. Your identifying information will not be shared.
