Study on Vehicle Accessibility for Non-Driving Individuals with Disabilities and their Families/Caregivers

My name is Hannah, and I am a master’s student at San José State University researching vehicle accessibility for individuals with disabilities and their families/non-relative caregivers. To gain multiple perspectives on vehicle accessibility, I am distributing a survey that is anticipated to take 15 minutes or less to complete. You are eligible to take part in the survey if you are age 18 and above, can communicate in English, and are one of the following:

  • You identify as having a disability(ies), are non-driving, and primarily use a private vehicle for transportation.
  • You drive a household family member/partner who is non-driving and has a disability(ies).
  • You are a non-relative caregiver (e.g. nurse, In-Home Support Services care provider) who helps with the transport of a non-driving client with a disability(ies) in their household vehicle.

If interested, you can access the survey at this URL:

For your time, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of sixteen $25 digital Visa gift cards. You may also choose to participate in a follow-up portion of the research including an interview. Please note that this survey is confidential, and no names or other identifying information will be collected.
