Ron Yost Personal Assistance Services Program
The Ron Yost Personal Assistance Program is a non-Medicaid program that enables individuals with severe disabilities to remain living at home and within the community with the help of a personal care assistant. Family members, including spouses, are permitted to be hired and compensated as the personal care attendant. Personal care attendants are intended to assist the care recipient with daily living activities such as bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping, grocery shopping, mobility, transportation, grooming, etc.. Recognized disabilities include but are limited to Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis.
