Home Care Allowance Program

Colorado's Home Care Allowance Program is a non-Medicaid program that allows certain family members to be hired and paid for providing personal care services. 

Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver

Colorado's EBD Waiver, also known as the Home and Community Based Services Waiver, is a Medicaid program that assists aged and/or disabled persons to remain in a community setting. This program allows certain family members or friends to be hired and paid to provide personal care services. Other services may include:

Consumer Directed Attendant Support Services Program (CDASS)

Colorado's CDASS program is a Medicaid program that allows certain family members, spouses may be eligible under specific circumstances, to be hired and paid to provide personal care services.

Benefits.gov - Colorado

Benefits.gov (formerly GovBenefits.gov) was launched in an effort to provide citizens with easy, online access to government benefit and assistance programs. Eight years after its initial launch, GovBenefits.gov underwent a major redesign and became Benefits.gov. However, the program's mission remains the same: reduce the expense and difficulty of interacting with the government while increasing citizen access to government benefit information.

Coalition of organizations that promote services and support for family caregivers. Coalition website serves as a resource for caregivers and those who work with caregivers providing online respite provider lists by county and information on respite helpline.

Colorado Legal Services

Provides free consultation for legal issues such as: Family, housing, immigration, benefit programs, and elder law. Senior services include: Living wills, medical durable POA, etc. 

Medicaid

Medicaid is a health insurance for people with limited income and resources. It pays for a variety of medical services, including in-home care or nursing home care, depending on eligibility.

Colorado Indigent Care Program

Government program helps low income individuals who are not Medicaid eligible pay for some of the costs of health care services provided by healthcare providers participating in CICP.

Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI)

Offers comprehensive medical care (diagnosis, treatment and follow-up) to people with complex neurological disorders and injuries. Other services include:
- Research projects, including new surgical techniques
- Education (patient, family, and community)
- Support groups for patients and their family caregivers
- Outreach to rural communities
