Understanding the Training Needs of Family Caregivers of Older Adults with Cognitive Loss

Printer-friendly version

Hello! I send you all my thoughts and well wishes. My name is Rachel VanPutten and I am a doctoral student at Eastern Michigan University. I received permission to provide the following information about my study:

I am currently looking for caregivers who are interested in completing an online survey. Specifically, those who care for a spouse or family member(s) aged 65 and older with dementia who require help with tasks such as dressing, bathing, managing medications, cooking, cleaning, etc. The survey aims to learn more about the types of training you have received in order to care for your loved one, how useful you found those trainings, and your quality of life.

The online survey is part of a research project run by Eastern Michigan University to further our understanding of caregiver training needs. If you are interested in participating, please click the following link: https://emichpsych.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7WpcPt5IjZzjyTj.  You are welcome to discontinue participation at any point. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me at [email protected].

I thank you all for your time, consideration, and courteousness. It is through the generosity of caregivers like yourself that I hope to learn more in order to support individuals with dementia and their families in my career.
