Dealing with Resistance in Caring for Someone with Cognitive Impairment (webinar)

Donna Schempp, LCSW, retired from her position as Program Director at Family Caregiver Alliance, a non profit organization that helps informal family caregivers get support in their caregiving roles, with an emphasis on caregiving for adults with dementia. She has a private therapy and case management practice, specializing in working with clients over 50 and families dealing with issues of aging, and consults with agencies in the Bay Area regarding elder care issues. Currently, she leads two caregiver support groups through FCA. Previously she worked as a social worker in home care and hospice and was a caregiver for her father with Alzheimer’s and her mother with cancer.
