Are you currently caring for a loved one or a friend diagnosed with cancer? Join the eCARE Study!
This study aims to investigate the use of a mobile technology app to monitor the well-being of people caring for someone with cancer over time.
Who can participate:
- Self-identify as the caregiver of a person diagnosed with cancer within the last 5 years
- Self-identify as age 18 or older
- Have access to a smartphone
- English-speaking
What will be asked of you:
Potential participants will be screened for eligibility. After consenting to the study, caregivers will complete a baseline survey questionnaire about their emotional well-being and caregiving experience. After downloading the app on their phone, they will complete 6 weekly check-ins about their well-being. Within two weeks from the last check-in, participants will complete a post-test survey. Some participants will also be invited to take part in an online interview with the research team. This portion of the study would take about 60 minutes to complete, and participants can express their interest while completing the post-test survey.
What you will receive:
Participants will be reimbursed for their time participating at each time point with electronic gift cards.
- Baseline (survey): $30
- After 4 weeks of app use (download app and at least 1 check in completed): $30
- Post-test assessment (survey): $30
- Interview (optional): $50
