Inviting grandchildren, nieces/nephews, siblings, and step-kin to participate in a telephone-based dementia caregiving study

Participate in the CareEx Study and help improve the lives of family caregivers providing care to a relative with dementia. We are seeking participants from Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, D.C., Kentucky, West Virginia, or Tennessee who care for a grandparent, uncle, aunt, brother, sister, or step-family member with dementia.

As a participant, you will be asked to complete one initial telephone interview that will last approximately 70 minutes, followed by a brief telephone interview for 8 consecutive evenings (15-20 minutes each evening). During these interviews, you will be asked about your experiences providing care, your family’s involvement in the care, whether you use any paid services, and the challenges you face while helping your relative with dementia.

To be eligible for participation, you must see your relative at least 3 times per week. Compensation of $110 will be provided for full participation (VT IRB# 20-742).
