Participate in the CARE-MOVE Study: Enhancing Connections and Wellbeing in Dementia Care Pairs
About the Study: We invite you to join the CARE-MOVE program, designed to promote movement, improve psychological well-being, and deepen connections for individuals living with dementia and their care partners as part of a research study.
–Program Details:
*Duration: 12 weekly sessions + 3 month follow up survey
*Format: 60 Minute Groups- Online via Zoom (tablets available)
–Components:
*Part 1-Care Partner Support and Training (4 Weeks): Engage in mind-body techniques to enhance nonverbal communication, improve relationship quality, and practice self-care.
*Mindful Movement Program for Pairs (8 Weeks): Participate in guided and improvisational dance/movement, mindful meditation, sensory exploration, and creative self-expression, facilitated by a board-certified dance/movement therapist.
–Additional Activities:
*Surveys: 3 times ($30 compensation each)
*Interviews: Share your thoughts about the experience ($30 compensation)
*Total Compensation: Up to $240 per pair
–Eligibility:
*Persons Living with Dementia:
-Aged 60 or older
-Have mild dementia
*Care Partners:
-Aged 18 or older
-Both must be able to move without assistance and have internet access
