Supporting someone living with metastatic breast cancer? sharing your experience can help others!
Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin are seeking participants for the COPE-MBC study to understand how people living with metastatic breast cancer, along with their partners, deal with cancer-related cognitive difficulties in daily life. Both individuals with metastatic breast cancer and their partners must enroll.
You and your partner may be eligible to participate if:
- Your romantic partner has been diagnosed with metastatic (stage IV) breast cancer
- You live together
Both partners must reside in the U.S. or Mexico, be at least 21 years of age, have daily access to a smartphone and to a computer with internet.
All study procedures are done remotely. If you participate, you will be asked to:
- Complete a baseline survey (about 40 minutes)
- Complete daily surveys at the end of the day (about 10 minutes) for 7 days each month for 3 months.
Your partner will be asked to:
- Complete a baseline survey and cognitive testing battery (about 1 hour)
- Complete daily surveys at the end of the day (about 10 minutes) for 7 days each month for 3 months.
Total time requirement is approximately 5 hours across 3 months. You will receive up to a $114 gift card as appreciation or completing this study and your partner will receive up to $144.
