Design Cross sectional study

Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the facets of dementia caregiving that impact caregiver acute health care utilization.

Participants The participants of this study were N=153 patients with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers attending two large urban, university affiliated primary care practices.

Outcomes Caregiver’s acute care utilization was associated with caregiver’s depression.
