California’s Caregiver Resource Centers

The 11 nonprofit California Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs), serve family caregivers of adults affected by chronic and debilitating health conditions, degenerative diseases, or traumatic brain injury.

Families and caregivers of adults affected by chronic and debilitating health conditions including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, cerebrovascular diseases (such as stroke or aneurysms), degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and multiple sclerosis, or traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The Eldercare Locator is a nationwide service that connects older Americans and their caregivers with trustworthy local support resources. Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA)

FCA support and assists families and caregivers through education, advocacy and services. California Health Advocates – Senior Medicare Patrol

Medicare is a government health insurance program for adults age 65 and older, some people under age 65 with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal disease. Comprehensive Paid Family Leave Program

Can I Get Help While Living In My Home?

In California, over 300 ADHCs are licensed by the state to operate community-based day health care programs for those at risk of being placed in a nursing home. They provide a variety of health, therapeutic, and social services including:
